HCR-20 V3, SARA-V3, and B-SAFER Train-the-Trainer Certification Programs
The Train-the-Trainer programs allow us to certify that we have: 1) reviewed and approved the education and work experience of trainers, as well as examples of their work product; 2) examined their level of knowledge about the tool in question, as well as the Structured Professional Judgment approach; 3) provided them with small-group tutorials in the use of the risk assessment tools and in training others to use those tools, using our own training materials; 4) evaluated their training in the field through observation and written evaluations; and 5) taken steps to make sure their knowledge of the relevant literature remains accurate and up-to-date through annual continuing education requirements.

Dr Ruth Tully (BSc(Hons), MSc, DForenPsy, CPsychol, EuroPsy, AFBPsS, CSci, MAE, AFHEA) is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist who is Chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK. Dr Tully is Clinical Director of Tully Forensic Psychology Ltd, where she and her team of Clinical, Forensic, and Neuro-Psychologists work nationwide in the provision of assessment, treatment/therapy, consultancy, and training across health and prison services, specializing in legal contexts. Dr Tully’s strong research background combined with clinical practice strengths resulted in her receiving an award from the British Psychological Society for “notable contribution to the field”. Her ethos involves turning research into evidence-based practice. Due to her research and practice expertise, Dr Tully is considered a leading authority on violence and sex offender risk assessment, and related forensic themes. She has trained several hundred professionals in the ethical and advanced use of forensic risk and personality assessment tools un the UK and Europe. Dr Tully is an author-approved trainer for several risk tools including the HCR-20 V3; she is a leading expert in this field. Dr Tully delivers open events which can be viewed on her websites and she is also regularly commissioned to deliver closed-team events both in the UK and internationally.
Dr. Akiko T. Kikuchi
Available to train in: English & Japanese / Japan
Dr. Akiko T. Kikuchi obtained BA, MS, and PhD degrees in health science at the University of Tokyo. She is a certified clinical psychologist and a licensed psychiatric social worker and has been the section chief of the Department of Forensic Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health in Japan since 2004. Her expertise is in the field of clinical psychology, specializing in the treatment and assessment of offenders with psychosis.
