The SARA-V2 is a set of Structured Professional Judgment guidelines for comprehensive assessment and management of risk for intimate partner violence. The original SARA-V2 (Kropp et al., 1995) is no longer in print, having been replaced by the SARA-V3 (Kropp et al. 2015). A number of agencies, however, continue to use the SARA-V2 and so we are making available legacy editions of the Manual and Worksheets available. These legacy editions are updates of the special versions previously published under license to Multi-Health Systems Inc. (Kropp et al., 1999). They have unique features that include descriptive norms for large samples of correctional offenders (probationers and inmates).

Training is essential to ensure appropriate use of the SARA-V2. Protect International offers training workshops in the use of the SARA V2. Our standard training workshop is delivered live, either in-person or online. It comprises about 12 to 14 contact hours and includes the completion of one or more practice cases. Please contact us for more details about training workshops. Evaluators can also ensure they are adequately trained to use the SARA-V2 through some combination of self-study and supervised practice.

Protect International offers licenses for the use of the SARA-V2 Manual and Worksheets in digital format. Manuals are provided in readable/printable format, and Worksheets are available in readable/printable and fillable formats. A license can be an economical alternative to purchasing and distributing materials in print form for organizations with many evaluators or that conduct many evaluations. Please contact us for more details about licensing.
