Although serious mental health problems are a very important risk factor for future violence, many threat assessment professionals are not confident recognizing and responding to symptoms of mental disorder. As part of our Understanding Mental Health and Violence Risk series, this workshop will focus on the relevance of Schizophrenia Spectrum and Other Psychotic Disorders with respect to violence risk. Case illustrations will be used to highlight both promising practices and challenging issues in this area.
